Just noticed Grey Goshawk was still on the hit-list....

Grey Goshawk - Withcott

Post by Mick Atzeni » Thu May 21, 2009 1:26 am

Pat Cleary also reported seeing a Grey Goshawk on 1 November, perched in a Grey Box behind their house in Amos Rd, Withcott.

Grey Goshawk records from late Spring and Summer are of renewed interest to me. Looking at the analysis of TBO records from 1975 to 2000 it seems this species leaves our area over Summer, returning in Autumn. If this is so, wonder where they go?
