Black kites overhead

Sightings within the local survey area for the period 1 Mar 2012 - 31 May 2012. The local survey area is a rectangular area extending from Kingsthorpe NW of Toowoomba to the Mt Whitestone/Fordsdale area SE of Helidon.

This am at 8-45 Kevin spotted a Black Kite over our house.
I grabbed binos and while watching this fellow, I spotted 4 more circling overhead.
Kevin took Pics and they were definitly Black Kites.
A newy for the back yard viewing list.

Wow! Pretty cool! I wonder if they're just passing or will hang around? I bet there are some around the waterworks in that case. It'd be interesting to see if anything else is on their tails.
