December Tally - 164 species

Postby Mick Atzeni » Sun Jan 07, 2007 11:56 pm

In hindsight, 200 species in a month was a wee bit ambitious and I think 180 was more realistic. Nevertheless, 164 is a commendable effort all things considered. December seems to be a relatively tough month for birds as the birds don't tend to be as conspicuous following the main breeding season. It would be interesting to go through past annual summaries and see how this year's 164 spp haul stacks up.
